Total Spring Explosion 2011 actually started Wednesday, when we went to Walmart in our desperate search for planting mix or aged compost.
If there are folks who can resist a $1.00 or $1.50 packet of organic seeds, I’d like to shake their hands! ‘Course I’ll have to wash mine first… Anyway, if we needed planting mix when we went into Walmart, we really needed it when we left–with seeds and bulbs, et cetera.
Once home, I got a new potting area roughed out, under the side porch steps. Although it probably sounds an odd location, it is warm, still and plenty bright. Now we need to go get a bunch of 1-gallon nursery cans from my stash, and get busy. I figure the bulbs and plants can be growing on in cans while I dither with seeds, and while we downed trees dealt with…
