Automate the process when you can, oscillators and timers can be a great help for harried gardener-types!We have found that a couple oscillators and timers make all the difference in our garden-without-an-irrigation-system. {Our secret shame!} This year we mulched with hay in late summer, and started watering the perennial beds for 1 hour per week, or 1 hour per month, depending upon the the type of plants and the weather.
