It has been a long, wet, windy winter. The chickens, ducks & geese were literally all cooped up for far too long–but then, you can’t have your birds being blown out of the yard in a sudden gust! It would usually sound like dramatics, but for the fact that the arbor with the huge Cecile Brunner rose got tossed, and then that huge ugly sun blocking cypress on the west side went down. 70+ mile per hour wind gusts will do that. Crazy.
Now, everything is going crazy. It’s a Spring frenzy around here. Bees buzzing, geese honking, the drake is after anything that doesn’t have teeth. There’s finally been enough sun to get the solar cooker out and make up some more solar cooked natural skincare. Starts are ready for transplanting to the garden… All in all, big fun!
